What looked like a bag of trash at a Goodwill Outlet turned out to hold something far darker. Inside a discarded black plastic bag were crime scene photos, police notes, and documents from one of Simi Valley’s most haunting cases — the 1978 murders of Rhonda Wicht and her 4-year-old son, Donnie. Nearly fifty years later, the discovery has reopened chilling questions about a crime long thought buried.
